Recreating a Lunar Mission on Earth

Full Stand Delivery & Real-Scale Lunar Lander Mock-Up

iSpace is a global space exploration company operating across Japan, Europe, and the United States.

When iSpace approached us for IAC Milan, the objective was clear: deliver a complete exhibition presence to support the presentation of their Mission 2 programme.

From the exhibition stand to the full-scale lunar lander mock-up, every element had to work together to communicate precision, innovation, and credibility.

The Challenge

The project combined multiple layers of complexity.

On one side, we were tasked with delivering a fully functional exhibition stand, including the integration of a large-scale video wall.

On the other, we were required to transform protected, highly detailed CAD data of the real lunar lander into a full-scale, physically accurate mock-up.

Every component had to be reproduced with precision, while remaining compatible with exhibition build constraints, transport logistics, and tight timelines.

Our Approach

We managed the project end-to-end, from design adaptation and engineering coordination to full production and on-site execution.

Working from protected original CAD files, we translated every single element of the real lunar lander into a buildable system.

The process involved:

  • coordination across a network of specialised engineers and suppliers
  • extensive use of 3D printing technologies for complex components
  • custom metal fabrication
  • integration of technical and visual elements
  • development of structural solutions suitable for exhibition environments

Each individual part of the lander was reproduced, resulting in a highly realistic, full-scale model that accurately reflected the original engineering design.

In parallel, we delivered the full exhibition stand, ensuring seamless integration between the architectural space, the video content, and the central installation.

Execution & Logistics

The lunar lander mock-up was assembled on-site within a tight installation window, requiring precise coordination and technical control.

Following the event, the entire structure was carefully dismantled, packed, and shipped to the United States, where it continued to be used by iSpace as a physical model.
